Andrey Gritsman is a native of Moscow, Russia, emigrated
to the US in 1981, lives in the New York area, works as a
physician. He is a poet and essayist, writes in Russian and
in English and is the author of five volumes of poetry in
Russian: No Man’s Land (Petropol, S-Petersburg), Double
(Hermitage, New York), bilingual View from the Bridge
(Slovo-Word, New York), collection of poetry in the ARION
poetry series in Moscow Transfer and forthcoming from
Pushkin Foundation in S.-Petersburg Island in the Woods.
His poems in English have appeared in Richmond Review (London, UK), New Orleans
Review, Confrontation, Bayou, Poetry International, Manhattan Review, New Press,
Poetry New York and others and were anthologized in Modern Poetry in Translation 
(UK), in Crossing Centuries (New Generation in Russian Poetry) and in forthcoming Anthology
Breath from the Parted Lips (Voices from the Frost Place) at CavanKerry Press.Gritsman
received his MFA degree in Poetry from Vermont College. Andrey presented his
poetry and literary essays in the USA, Russia, Israel, France and in Northern Ireland.
He runs a bilingual Russian-American Poetry Series in popular literary clubs in New York City.
