Susan
Blanshard
was born
in England and but
later moved to New
Zealand where
she spent
most of her early childhood. The
daughter of a Diplomat, she considers
she had a
nomadic upbringing. As a girl,
she was educated in the United
States
and
later
returned to New
Zealand where she had a
career as an
award
winning senior
advertising
copywriter. She was sole owner and director of
Mossmoon, a creative
freelance
agency. Her
selected poetry, Fragments of The
Human Heart
appears
in
World
Literary Review, Projected
Letters, Volume 4, 2005.
Susan
writes in different locations. Subsequently,
she drew on her years living
in the South Pacific. Travel writings from tropical
far north Queensland, Australia;
correspondence exchanged during a sojourn in
South West
France. Journals and
poems written in French Polynesia.
Sheetstone was completed during her year at
Piha
Beach
on the West Coast of New Zealand in the South Pacific, where she
returned to
live for a while.
With family in the
Northern and Southern
Hemispheres, Susan travels between New
Zealand
and England.
She is currently living in Hanoi
completing a novel. Susan lives
with an artist. She has two grown-up children.
