Since then Mr. Markham has curated for Markham/Murray Gallery, NYC and was Founding Curator/Advisory Board Member for The September 11 Photo Project. The drawings that have been printed on the front and back covers of this book are part of a series of brush and ink on paper that Mr. Markham started during a visit to Hong Kong in 2002. The process for each drawing is a moment's encounter with water, ink, brush and paper. Mr. Markham views the development of this series as a continuous mental exercise combining elements of control and chance. The works are represented by The Hogar Collection, Brooklyn, N.Y.
